Add the chat to your website

One line of code, pasted once. Or send it to whoever looks after your site.

Get your line of code

  1. On your dashboard, open Your assistant.
  2. Tap Copy the code. Or tap Email it to my web person and your email app opens with the code and the instructions already written.

WordPress

  1. Install a free plugin for adding code to every page, such as WPCode (Plugins → Add New).
  2. Open its Header & Footer page (under Code Snippets) and paste your line into the Footer box. Tap Save Changes.

On WordPress.com, adding plugins needs a paid plan that allows them.

Wix

  1. In your site’s dashboard, go to Settings → Custom code and tap + Add Custom Code.
  2. Paste your line, choose All pages, and place it in Body – end. Apply.

Wix allows custom code on premium plans with a connected domain.

Squarespace

  1. Open Settings → Advanced → Code Injection (on newer sites: Website → Pages → Custom code → Code injection).
  2. Paste your line into the Footer box. Save.

Any other website

  1. The line goes just before the closing </body> tag, on every page.
  2. Not sure? Use Email it to my web person — it is a two-minute job for them.

Check it

  1. Back on Your assistant, tap Check my website. When it says ✓ Found on your website, you are done.
  2. Just published? Give it a few minutes and check again.
  3. The chat does not work on your website until you go live — try it in the preview on Your assistant meanwhile.
